Review- Revoltech Fraulein Yoko

10/01/2013 by bd77

Finally, a review of my favourite figure, Yoko.

.

She’s pretty cheery.

And she was my first ever non-mecha figure in my collection. Do note, this is something from 2008.

In full gear.

In full gear.

Number 10 in the Fraulein series, Yoko had incorporated some of the features from the Idol Masters Fraulein figures, this includes multiple face parts. Earlier Fraulein figures (like Rin, Pocco, Rei and Asuka) lacks.

Views

Front view.

Front view.

She’s pretty stable as she’s wearing boots, but her huge ponytail hair part can cause balancing issue. So proper center of gravity placement is a must.

Side view.

Side view.

Just like in the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, her outfit is pretty much, “basic” but offers a great range of mobility.

Rear view.

Rear view.

She does have a very *ahem* figure. Overall.

Shades off.

Shades off.

Yoko comes with two front bangs pieces, one with the yellow shades and another without.

Scarf/neck-warmer.

Scarf/neck-warmer.

The scarf/neck-warmer can be taken off, by taking off the head.

I found it so weird when I saw the title of the post, I had been thinking you got the movie version or something. Can’t believe such a staple of yours hadn’t been reviewed yet.

So nostalgic though, Kaiyodo’s Fraulein series huh. I was originally interested in it so I went and bought Bunny Haruhi to see how it was. I was fairly impressed, didn’t look bad at all, had good articulation and nice pose-ability. That was it though, never went and bought more, I wonder why there was no particular reason.

This and the movie version shares 90% of the same sculpt, with changes done to her upper torso and rear head piece (for the untied hair).

Haruhi IS a mix bag (much like her anime persona), overall sculpt and posability is good but her sense of balancing is rather… iffy (due to her high heels).

Well, by the looks of it, Kaiyodo maybe focusing more on the QB series (which, co-incidentally, in scale with figma figures).

I never got what those 2 flesh coloured bits below her shorts were for.

Those are actually… her butt-slip below her pants. >.>

Nice review! She’s quite a nice figure despite her age.. I like the over the shoulders shot haha! =3

Yes, she’s one of the more nicer figure in the Fraulein series (the other would be Haruhi).
Glad you like that shot. :)

Yoko the one girl Revo that i have really considered, can see from your pics that she is not bad for such an old figure

She and Haruhi are the more nicer ones. Decent sculpt and paint works.
Too bad I can get my hands on the movie version… orz
