Now, to build my latest kit, the HGUC Sinanju from the Gundam Unicorn OVA.
Assembly started at 7.10pm.
Now I understand why Chubbybots had modded his Sinanju’s neck piece…
I “might” be crazy enough to scratch-build the piece rather than cutting and rejoining the piece. Might use left over phone prepaid cards that managed to found littering around.
Looks like someone is overseeing the progress. Drones, you won’t need to pay them wages. And yes, if noticed I’ve put the !*@!&^@* decals on the torso. Took me about 20 minutes to place them properly.
Tip: for the side collar pieces, put the decals first before putting them on the torso.
I’ve used a needle for the decals as the sharp tip allows me to carve the emblem over the raised parts.
Stop for an hour for dinner, then… continue.
The head by default could only managed to tilt up by a few degrees.
Is it really looking down or it is just looking forward? orz (I disappoint)
Looks like Bandai’s decal designing dept had scored in making sure the two lower sleeves parts looks like a single piece.
He is nearly done and the drones had entered their shutdown period.
Come on, it’s already VERY late. Continuing (a bit) next morning, Okay?
Thank you. Zzzzz…
Yes, it can do a kneeling pose quite well. Regally, even.
Why take so long to finish? The decals, they are VERY time-consuming.
Unfortunately, this is not a Sunday so will be continuing the rest of the backpack, rifle and shield (with the &@!)*%@ amount of decals) after getting back from work.
My take so far-
- Good limb articulations
- Complex, layer-like construction
- Regal-like decals
- Proportionate and balanced
- Neck is SHORT~!
- Tiny decals (but not as bad as the MG Ver Ka)
- Nub marks~! Some are very visble
- Odd (medium-sized) gate placements, e.g. putting the gate at a sloping sharp edges.
