This is more of a continuing experiment from my previous attempt using a metal core.
For this, I had to destroy the remaining peg in her torso and make a new one from scratch.
One nagging issue I have is… How to sand inside a socket and/or even… add a coating to make the surface smoother… The socket was too tight (hence the breakage).
With that gone, what I have is a nice clean socket for the new peg.
Made from an unused ABS runner tree from my HGUC Geara Doga kit (the grayish piece) and the remaining ball of the original joint.
What I’d done is (by accident or otherwise) is make a hole for the peg in the ball and stick them with a good dose of Mr Cement then let them cure for a a few days. Truth is, I was also going to destroy that ball piece also, but… since it came out, I reuse it.
Hopefully after this she could ride again on her broom.
Marisa: Hopefully I gain a few millimeters in height, ze.
Also, Happy belated X’mas to everyone. *ah-CHOO~!*
