Finally got myself the HGUC Jesta kit, also, this will be my entry for B-Mecha’s MVP Figure’s Jesta Group build. This will be the ONLY W.I.P post for this kit. LOL.

Hoihoi-san: Analyzing parts. No ABS-type pieces.
Sadly with most of the Gundam: Unicorn series of kits, they don’t use much (if any) ABS type of pieces.
The whole lot.
All the runners spread out. I noticed something about this kit’s construction.
The torso piece.
The Jesta uses many of the HG00 Gundam 00 type of construction for it’s articulation. Note the shoulder connector.
YES. An extra joint at the shoulder armour.
This extra joint allows the arm to move higher (instead of being restricted to the ball joint).
The head, torso and arm.
With all the hype going around with this kit, there are some “slight” pitfalls to it. But this is negated with it’s plus points. That, will only be in my review. Soon. -ish.
p.s. By the time you all finish reading this, I’ve ALREADY finish building this guy. HAHAHAHA~! *evil cackle*

The shoulder is a mix of a traditional UC and 00 type of design and yes, OOB is already that good. (and this is with poor lighting)

The only HG kit I have that has ABS joints is the Jegan and the Gundam X.
But I already HAVE the Stark Jegan… Knowing Bandai, they MAY make the Proto Stark Jegan…
Actually, most of the earlier HGUC (around Char’s Counter Attack line) kit uses plenty of ABS.

What to do… Every time I got a kit, I pull out a spell card attack called “Speed Sign ~ Straight Build”. (typical thing for a Touhou fan to do).

I’m just wondering, why are ABS parts any good?
Good for stronger joints as it can absorb more stress than normal polystyrene (gunpla) material. And it also gives the kit a more solid feel to it.
ABS is a much solid and compact plastic for joints, compared to PS
but, ABS is so weak to enamel thinner, and harder to react with plastic cement

The reason I asked the question was because despite being more solid, ABS plastic is brittle and will yellow and decompose after some time – I have some old gunpla kits which are falling apart because of this. And also the disadvantages that zoidiect pointed out. đ

00 Raiser’s construction means that it will have improved articulation compared to other Unicorn kits.
In fact, this guys has a better range of movements that a standard Jegan. Which will be featured in my up coming review. =D
Just received mine from HLJ. Can’t wait to build it and hire someone to paint it white and navy blue.

I went to shop this weekend and they had nuclear powered lolis there. They had a bunch of gunpla there and it gave me a huge urge to build one.
