This will be the first (hopefully NOT the only) WIP post of my first ever MG that I’m building.
It has been quite some time since I’ve build a larger kit, and that was my PG 1/60 Wing Zero Custom.
For starters, I’m doing the torso. The torso block comprises of segments allow it to sway sideways and bend forward and back slightly, while the shoulders able to tilt a few degrees upwards and forwards.
Here is where the backpack is connected to the body via a slot mechanism. Flash marks will be remove later on, if you’re curious.
As with any MG kits, the cockpit hatch are functional and reveals *gasp* a pilot.
The hatch has two opening methods, the first will be just open the small doorway for peeping out, the second is this one, where the pilot able to egress or ingress.
The sensor-eye lens will be coloured, yes.
My next part will be the head, waist and legs.
Since this is from the AC timeline of the Gundam series, the units are fairly modest-sized ones (the ones from V Gundam are midget-sized).
Some may wonder, why I chose this unit. The truth is, Gundam Wing was my first ever exposure to the series and always wanted the NG (non-grade) 1/100. And that was in the 1990’s. And thanks to GK, I got a better version of the unit.
p.s. To Bandai, make the HGAC Wing-01 (with modern frames) and I WILL buy it.
