Here’s one kit that beckons me to review. The MG-size Lv Bu from LoongOn/Loong On/Loongon, which is based from a character in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga.
Now, most folks when they heard or think about China-based pla-kits they would relate to bootleg gunpla kits. Rest assure, this guy is an original design.
Now do note, this is an unpainted and not yet given the lining treatment. Looks quite bulky, yes?
So much so that, if built out of the box (like mine), he has trouble of standing without the aid of some support due to the weight and joints issues.
One of the main selling points of this guy is the sharpness and richness of the details. All the raised carvings are sharp and precise. And, it’s heaven for folks who loves to do total repaints (as the original form lacks greatly in that department).
The majority of the kit is done in ABS and uses PC parts for the joints. One thing I’ve noticed…
Is that some of the pieces surface are already pre-sanded to give a more rougher and less glossy texture. Notice the picture above, the side skirt armour is less glossy than the upper torso.
