After my previous modifications’ job of the Dreissen, here my next round of modifications job.
Originally the Dark Hound uses a metallic green seal/sticker/decal for the right eye patch. And that looks… well… dull.
Thanks to Tsukinari for giving me a set of mini-saws, I was able to cut the black part that was covering the right eye more precisely. The semi-clear green part here is from a leftover runner, cut into the exact shape of the removed piece.
It does looks stand out with the modification. Do note, that the parts in question are tiny to work with.
The Star of the Show
There was a “minor” accident during a live-fire exercise with Gundam 1.5, and it was a total lost. Beyond repair. But the pilot survived and… commandeered a decommissioned AGE-2 and gives it some upgrades. And calls it, AGE-2 ver. Pain.
The AGE-2 ver. Pain retains it’s ability to transform as only the lower legs and a pair of wings was modified.
The parts for the lower legs are glued (with Mr. Cement) to give it a more beefier look.
While a pair of wings from the original AGE-2 was changed to Gundam 1.5’s wings/GN-cannon attachment.
Well, parts of 1.5 is too valuable just to be discarded so… yeah.
The upgrade does indeed put some stress on the arm as the cannons are weighty.
Not to contend to only one gun, Pain still uses the Gundam 1.5 Buster Rifle on the left arm.
All in all, it does makes it more awesome like.
Pain: OF COURSE I’M AWESOME!
Now AGE-2 looks more proper as an aerial unit.
Remember, the wings of Gundam 1.5 are actually GN-cannons.
Kira Yamato: Oi…
Now I’m still think on else can I do with the remaining leftovers. Warning: more random modifications job on the horizon.
With all the protruding parts, posing WILL be an issue. At times.
Ah, ground-based suppression fire.
Kio: … why does that looks like my AGE-3 Fortress…
